CEA offers three program options to students choosing
Seville, Spain as their study abroad destination.
The courses for each program will be taught in one or
more locations, including CEAs Global Campus and
the two local host universities in Seville: Universidad
Pablo de Olavide and Universidad de Sevilla. Each
program provides a unique opportunity to learn and interact
with the local culture. Immersion activities, fieldtrips
and overnight excursions are designated to properly merge
students with their new local environment. Housing options
vary from home stays and residences to apartments.
The CEA Global Campus in Seville was founded to provide
North American students with a unique interdisciplinary
liberal arts education, enhanced by its location in Seville,
Spain. Courses are offered in both Spanish and English
and give students the opportunity not only to improve
their language skills, but also to further their academic
pursuits in a variety of academic subjects with Seville
as their classroom.
CEA Courses are designed with components which expose
students to different elements of the city from monuments
and museums to businesses, local food markets, and government
agencies. Students are encouraged to explore on their
own and are challenged to draw connections between the
subjects they are studying and their observations outside
of the classroom. Courses taught at the CEA Global Campus
center in Seville have been designed in conjunction with,
and approved by, the University of New Haven (UNH). After
the successful completion of a session at the CEA Global
Campus in Seville, students will receive credit for their
work from UNH. Located in Connecticut, the University
of New Haven is a student-focused, comprehensive university
and is fully accredited by the New England Association
of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Curriculum at the CEA
Global Campus in Seville is complimented by academic services
such as Spanish language tutoring, a library, language
partners, volunteering options and student computer lab.
