It allows participants to pursue studies in a variety of academic disciplines focusing on Spain and Europe through topics such as literature, women's issues, human geography, history, political science and culture. This goal is achieved through the intensive language course work and content courses in Spanish, a conversation exchange program, excursions, and homestays for participants.

Liberal Arts: The program goal for advanced-level language students is to further develop their spoken and written Spanish language skills. This goal is achieved through intensive language course work, content courses in Spanish, direct enrolment at the University of Alicante, homestays, a conversational exchange program, and an extensive program of excursions for participants.
