Individual attention and integration into regular Spanish university courses are two important facets of the Tulane University - Newcomb College Junior Year in Spain Program with more than forty years of experience. Tulane students from a variety of majors, Political Science to Architecture, spend three weeks in León preparing their basic skills for the academic year at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). In addition to courses at the UCM, students may choose from classes offered in the Consortium of American Universities and seminars on contemporary Spanish drama, the development of 20th Century Spain, and Latin American cultural activities. Students participate in a variety of extracurricular events chosen to improve their comprehension of the language and culture of Spain. |
