This program is coordinated from the University of Nevada, Reno. Students from any university in the USA may apply for admission. Most classes are taught in Spanish with a few non-language classes taught in English. Classes are offered at the undergraduate level. There are four levels of Spanish. Aside from the language classes, we offer some optional courses: Basque Language, Economics of the Common Market, Survey of Spanish Literature, 20th Century Spanish Novel, 20th Century Spanish Drama, 20th Century Spanish Poetry, Civilization and Culture of Spain, Basque and Iberian Civilization, Business Spanish, and other courses that vary each year, depending on our guest professors from the associated universities.
Most students share apartments with local students and other students in the program. It is also possible for students to live with families. Classes take place at the University of the Basque Country. Students may choose either the San Sebastián or the Getxo-Bilbao campus.
