SAN SEBASTIAN

Study the Spanish or Basque language intensively and practice with conversation partners who are local students. Four levels of Spanish are offered from beginning to advanced-level. Other unique courses taught in Spanish include: Myths and Legends, European Art, Twentieth Century and Contemporary Spanish Theater, Survey of Spanish Literature, Panorama of Spanish Cinema, Advanced Translation, Surfing, Spanish and Basque Cuisine, Basque Folkdance. Psychology courses, taught in English, are shared with local university students.

Program sponsored field trips include trips to Santander and Santillana del Mar, Zugarramurdi and the Pyrenees mountains, Burgos and Atapuerca, points of interest in the Provence of Guipuzcoa including the flysch of Zumaia.


VALENCIA

This program is coordinated from the University of Nevada, Reno. Students from any university in the USA may apply for admission. Most classes are taught in Spanish with some non-language classes taught in English, focused on STEM. Classes are offered at the undergraduate level.
